Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Livingston County, NY. As an Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for analyzing and diagnosing complex mechanical issues, performing repairs and maintenance on a variety of vehicles and equipment, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our fleet.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and diagnose mechanical issues using technical manuals, test equipment, and operator reports
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other vehicle systems
  • Work on a variety of vehicles and equipment, including heavy-duty trucks, buses, and construction equipment
  • Ensure all work is performed in a safe and efficient manner, meeting or exceeding industry standards
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve departmental goals and objectives
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in automotive or diesel mechanics
  • Valid New York State driver's license
  • Class B commercial motor vehicle driver's license
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
