We are seeking an experienced MRI Technologist PRN to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital, a leading healthcare provider in the nation.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

The MRI Technologist PRN will be responsible for obtaining high-quality MRI images of patients, ensuring patient safety, and providing excellent customer service.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Obtains quality MRI images of patients, adhering to established scanning protocols and adjusting as necessary.
  • Ensures patient safety by screening for contraindications, utilizing protective equipment when required, and operating the MRI scanner safely and competently.
  • Renders patient care in a professional and courteous manner, preparing examination rooms for MRI procedures, and maintaining room cleanliness and neat appearance.
  • Demonstrates proficiency in obtaining IV access and administering contrast agents, reviewing exams for technical accuracy, and completing verification processes in PACS.
  • Assists with PACS clean up, including unarchived images and unspecified items.
Requirements

To be successful as an MRI Technologist PRN, you should have:

  • A graduate degree from an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology, with continuing education credits as mandated by the ARRT for licensure.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT) certification within six months of hire.
  • Current CPR certification and a minimum of one year as a certified MRI technologist.
