About the Role

Garnet Health is seeking a highly skilled MRI Technologist to join our Diagnostic Imaging team at Garnet Health Medical Center-Middletown. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for performing MRI imaging procedures and ensuring patient safety protocols are followed.

Responsibilities
  • Perform MRI imaging procedures and ensure patient safety protocols are followed.
  • Function as the first line interface with customer accounts to meet their imaging needs.
  • Work collaboratively with patients, physicians, and department employees to provide excellent patient care.
  • Participate in operational and community events as necessary.
Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
  • Two years of MRI experience desirable.
  • Required Certification/Registration: Licensed in Radiologic Technology by New York, ARRT-RT, and active enrollment in a MRI training program inclusive of didactic and clinical rotations with ARRT MR Registry (ARRT-MR) within 18 months of hire.
  • NYS DOH Injection license preferred, required within 90 days from date of hire.
Working Conditions

Works inside and can be exposed to disagreeable odors and infection. Contact with patients, physicians, department employees, and hospital departments, such as nursing. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Physical Demands

Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Mental Demands

Ability to foster collaborative relationships, work well under pressure, organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills, and flexibility. Ability to multi-task and required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.
