Objective:

The Mortgage Loan Officer acts as the primary liaison for borrowers and retail operations during the loan origination process. You are expected to proactively build your client base and engage with leads generated by Bank of England Mortgage. Staying informed about various loan products and financial solutions is crucial to effectively address customer needs. Meeting or exceeding established production targets is a key performance indicator for this role. Regular communication with management regarding your production status is expected, along with adherence to deadlines and compliance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

· Promote company initiatives through various outreach methods, including phone calls, emails, and networking events, to generate interest from potential clients.

· Build a pipeline of prospective clients by identifying key decision-makers and arranging meetings to discuss their needs and objectives.

· Establish and nurture relationships with new clients, providing ongoing support to enhance customer loyalty.

· Address client objections by clarifying concerns and negotiating effectively to reach positive outcomes.

· Maintain consistent communication with developing client accounts, ensuring accurate documentation and follow-up with the Branch Manager.

· Engage in business development activities within the real estate and construction sectors, focusing on client acquisition and deal closure.

· Collaborate with internal teams to fulfill customer requirements efficiently.

· Participate in industry events and conferences to identify new business opportunities and expand the client base.

· Assist applicants in completing loan applications and provide guidance throughout the loan process.

· Collect and analyze financial documentation, ensuring thorough preparation of mortgage loan files for processing.

· Submit applications for verification and conduct preliminary research to assess mortgage eligibility.

· Facilitate the mortgage application process by gathering necessary data from borrowers.

· Educate clients on various loan types and credit options available to them.

· Address and resolve customer complaints promptly and effectively.

· Collaborate with underwriters to troubleshoot mortgage application issues.

· Work closely with processing and closing teams to coordinate loan closings.

· Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies throughout the mortgage application process.

· Review loan files for accuracy and completeness, making necessary adjustments as required.

· Uphold the company's reputation by maintaining confidentiality and delivering high-quality customer service.

· Attend regular production meetings to discuss performance and strategies for improvement.

Qualifications:

· High School Diploma or GED required; some college coursework preferred; a degree is a plus.

· Proficient in computer applications (MS Office, mortgage software).

· Minimum of three years of recent experience as a Mortgage Loan Officer in the banking sector.

· Strong customer service skills with effective communication abilities.

· Basic proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel; experience with Encompass is desirable.

· Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and management.

· Results-oriented mindset with a focus on problem-solving and time management.
