About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Preschool Floater Teacher to join our team at Stratford School. As a Preschool Floater Teacher, you will play a vital role in providing support and assistance across two different locations.

You will engage with a diverse group of preschool and pre-K students, collaborating with classroom teachers while gaining valuable experience in school and classroom environments.

This position offers the opportunity to step in and lead classrooms when needed, making it an ideal role for individuals eager to develop their teaching skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement curriculum and instructional programs
  • Collaborate with other faculty and staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning environment
  • Assist in classroom management and behavior, promoting a positive and inclusive atmosphere
  • Provide support in the classroom or office as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability
Requirements
  • Completed 12-semester or 18-quarter units in early childhood education, including coursework covering child development, family dynamics, community involvement, and program/curriculum development
  • Alternatively, possession of a bachelor's degree in child development or a related field
  • Reliable transportation to commute between the two school locations
  • Demonstrate patience, compassion, and a genuine passion for working with young children
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Prior teaching experience with young students is preferred
