Role Overview:

The Food Service Support Representative is responsible for showcasing, educating, and promoting Performance Food Group's diverse range of food service offerings to various client types within a designated sales region. This role is vital in maintaining and enhancing the company's reputation in the food distribution sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct daily visits to clients within the assigned territory to advocate for products and sales strategies. A company vehicle will be provided for travel.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be necessary.
  • Assist in training operators, merchandising, pricing strategies, and more.
  • Address customer inquiries, offer solutions, and facilitate training sessions.
  • Provide innovative merchandising concepts to increase sales and assist clients with pricing and menu creation.
  • Submit weekly activity reports to the supervisor.
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Familiarity with Performance Food Group's food service products and cost analysis.
  • Experience in menu planning and development.
  • Operational knowledge of various food preparation equipment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to excel in a dynamic environment and collaborate effectively within a team.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Professional and respectful communication with all stakeholders.
  • Self-driven and capable of working autonomously.
Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Knowledge of Performance Food Group's food service products and cost analysis is essential.
Experience in menu development is preferred.
Operational skills with various food preparation equipment are necessary.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required.
Strong communication and negotiation skills are essential.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively in a team setting is crucial.
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Professional and courteous communication with stakeholders is expected.
Self-motivated and capable of working independently is a must.
