As a Recreational Therapist at New Wave Wellness, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals with developmental disabilities and veterans.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized care plans to promote health, wellbeing, and independence
  • Collaborate with clients to identify their needs and develop strategies to overcome emotional difficulties
  • Work with clients to achieve their goals and improve their quality of life
  • Provide education and training to clients and their families on therapeutic activities and strategies
  • Attend regular team meetings and contribute to the development of new programs and services

Requirements:

  • Minimum requirement of a bachelor's degree in recreational therapy or therapeutic recreation
  • Ability to provide official transcripts and diploma
  • Currently maintain Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) credential obtained through the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification (NCTRC)
  • Must be able to complete background checks without any issues or concerns reported
  • Must possess an active driver's license, vehicle registration, and insurance
  • Must be able to obtain personal liability insurance
