We are currently in search of a qualified:

CLINICAL CARE NURSE (RN/LPN)

Full Time, Day Shift

POSITION OVERVIEW:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments for all new admissions and re-admissions to verify that all skin conditions have been documented by the admitting nurse with appropriate treatment directives.
  • Implement preventative strategies, including specialty mattresses, positioning aids, therapy referrals, and nutritional assessments.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the resident's attending physician regarding wound status.
  • Keep residents and their designated representatives informed about wound conditions consistently.
  • Administer skin treatments as prescribed for residents.
  • Ensure accurate documentation of pressure and non-pressure wounds is maintained.
  • Engage in wound care meetings and other departmental gatherings as required.
  • Respond promptly and courteously to call lights.
  • Uphold the comfort, privacy, and dignity of residents, interacting with them respectfully to foster a caring atmosphere.
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and standard precautionary measures during care delivery.
  • Dispense medications within the scope of RN or LPN licensure.
  • Assist with additional responsibilities as assigned within the professional scope.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High school diploma is required.
  • Must possess a valid Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse license from an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Current, valid LPN or RN license from the North Carolina Board of Nursing is mandatory.
  • Willingness to undertake additional tasks as directed by the Director of Nursing.
  • Dependability, flexibility, and the ability to collaborate effectively with nursing staff and other departments are essential.
  • Capability to make informed decisions regarding nursing care issues.
  • Ability to educate and guide staff through orientation and continuing education sessions.
  • Familiarity with personnel, departmental, and facility policies, as well as adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Working knowledge of regulations governing Long Term Care is necessary.
  • Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Demonstrate a clear understanding of wound staging.
