Role Summary:
- Execute standard clinical and administrative tasks to assist the designated department or practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the provision of medical services with empathy and effectiveness.
- Conduct triage, perform CPR, and execute other emergency protocols as necessary.
- Guide patients to examination rooms, gather medical histories, and record vital signs.
- Carry out diagnostic tests and collect specimens.
- Observe and report any changes in patient health status.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient evaluations and treatments.
- Prepare and maintain examination rooms, ensuring instruments are cleaned and sterilized.
- Handle referral processes and prior authorization submissions.
- Utilize electronic health record systems to document patient data.
- Administer medications as instructed by healthcare providers.
- Collect and analyze laboratory specimens, including glucose testing.
- Provide wound care, perform suture removals, and administer treatments as required.
- Ensure accurate data entry into electronic medical records.
- Initiate peripheral IVs, deliver IV fluids, and administer select medications.
- Apply splints and dressings, and provide oxygen therapy.
- Conduct drug screenings and undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Verification of paramedic training or certification.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- A minimum of three years of clinical experience is preferred.
- Strong critical thinking abilities and capacity to operate with limited supervision.
