Position: Systems Engineer

Compensation: $120k - $130k plus 10% bonus

Location: Tampa, FL – Onsite work required

This role involves working in a medium-sized environment where you will engage in various tasks related to Windows systems, virtualization technologies, and some networking. Your responsibilities will include designing, implementing, and maintaining both on-premises and cloud solutions, specifically within AWS and Azure platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage all infrastructure and system installations, ensuring proper configurations, testing, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Establish and uphold backup, security, and redundancy protocols.
  • Proactively identify potential challenges and implement effective solutions.
  • Develop custom scripts to enhance automation within IT processes.

Experience Requirements:

A minimum of Two (2) to Five (5) years of experience in technology and/or IT is required. Experience in the property and casualty sector is preferred.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, particularly in Group Policy Object (GPO) creation and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2016/2019 environments and related applications.
  • Familiarity with AWS Workspaces and Azure, including Azure Active Directory.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft SCCM, SCSM, Deployment Toolkit, WSUS, SharePoint, SQL, and VMware.
  • Experience with SolarWinds and other network/system monitoring tools is advantageous.
  • Ability to swiftly analyze issues to provide and implement optimal solutions.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Experience in researching technical issues and executing resolutions.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of addressing both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Relevant certifications such as MSCE, MCSA, or CCNA are preferred but not mandatory.
