About the Job
The Hyperbaric Chamber Technician will work closely with medical staff to ensure the safe operation and maintenance of hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers. This role requires a strong understanding of hyperbaric chamber operations and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating and monitoring hyperbaric oxygen therapy chambers during treatment sessions
- Conducting pre-treatment safety checks and equipment inspections
- Monitoring patients during treatments and responding to any emergencies
- Maintaining accurate treatment records and documentation
- Performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting of hyperbaric chambers
- Assisting medical staff in patient preparation and positioning
- Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and regulatory requirements
- Conducting equipment sterilization and cleaning procedures
- Participating in emergency response drills and training sessions
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Current Certification in Hyperbaric Technology (CHT)
- Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in hyperbaric medicine or related field
- Demonstrated knowledge of hyperbaric chamber operations and safety protocols
- Strong understanding of diving physics and physiology
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining medical monitoring equipment
- Experience with medical documentation and record-keeping systems
- Excellent technical troubleshooting abilities
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to respond quickly and effectively in emergency situations
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations
