As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating forklifts and handling heavy items, checking and rejecting unsatisfactory items in shipments, keeping records of merchandise shipments, organizing and distributing materials, and preparing kitting packages efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely Operate Forklifts: Ensure the safe operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to prevent accidents and injuries.
  • Handle Heavy Items: Safely handle and move heavy items, including pallets and boxes, to and from storage areas.
  • Check and Reject Unsatisfactory Items: Inspect shipments for damage or defects and reject any unsatisfactory items.
  • Keep Records: Maintain accurate records of merchandise shipments, including tracking and inventory management.
  • Organize and Distribute Materials: Organize and distribute materials and supplies to meet production and shipping needs.
  • Prepare Kitting Packages: Prepare kitting packages efficiently and accurately to meet customer requirements.

Requirements:

  • Forklift Certification: Must have a valid forklift certification.
  • Experience: At least 6 months of relevant experience in a warehouse or material handling environment.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift items up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
  • Team Player: Great team player with good communication skills.
  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
