We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Claims Coordinator to join our team at CarolinasDentist. As a Claims Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timely filing of dental claims for assigned offices. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Reviews clinical notes, x-rays, and account ledgers for cohesion of information
  • Creates and submits electronic claims and paper claims, attaching necessary documents and information
  • Manages invalid and rejected claims, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up
  • Coordinates with dental offices and insurance companies to resolve claim issues and discrepancies
  • Reviews and processes Accounts Receivable reports, identifying and resolving outstanding insurance claims and balances
  • Communicates with patients, dental providers, and insurance companies regarding billing and insurance matters
Requirements
  • Previous experience in dental office administration, dental billing, or insurance claims processing
  • Familiarity with dental terminology and procedures
  • Understanding of insurance processes and policies, including knowledge of common insurance codes and claim forms
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with dental practice management software and other computer applications
