Automotive Regulatory Enforcement Officer

The State of Vermont's Enforcement & Safety Division is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Motor Vehicle Field Inspector to join our team. As a key member of the division, you will be responsible for conducting field inspections and technical investigations to ensure compliance with Vermont motor vehicle laws and regulations.
About the Position
This home-based position requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the state, including service stations, motor vehicle dealerships, and private residences. You will work independently to inspect vehicles, gather evidence, and interview individuals as needed. Your findings will be used to inform regulatory decisions and support the development of policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct field inspections and technical investigations to ensure compliance with Vermont motor vehicle laws and regulations
- Inspect vehicles and gather evidence to support regulatory decisions
- Interview individuals as needed to gather information and build cases
- Communicate findings and recommendations to regulatory agencies and other stakeholders

Estimated Salary: $65,000 - $85,000 per year
