Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Twos & Threes Teacher at our Brooksville Little Leopards Preschool. As a key member of our preschool team, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classroom Environment: Assist in creating a classroom environment that promotes learning, social, and emotional development, with a focus on language development and emergent literacy skills.
  • Curriculum Implementation: Implement the Funnydaffer curriculum, ensuring a high-quality educational experience for our students.
  • Child Interaction: Interact with children in a respectful and nurturing manner, supporting their social and emotional development.
  • Play-Based Learning: Engage in play with children, often getting down to their level to interact and build relationships.
  • Curiosity and Exploration: Provide activities and opportunities that encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving, tailored to the development levels of our students.
  • Resource Selection: Assist in selecting books, equipment, and instructional materials suitable for our early childhood program.
  • Attendance and Hygiene: Maintain accurate attendance records and attend to the personal hygiene needs of each child in your care.
  • Safety and Maintenance: Ensure a safe environment, adhering to safety standards set by the program, and assist in cleaning and maintaining the child care rooms.
  • Parent and Child Literacy: Assist in developing and facilitating interactive parent and child literacy activities.
  • Family Relationships: Maintain open, friendly, and cooperative relationships with each child's family, encouraging their involvement in the program.
  • Community Engagement: Participate in community events and activities to promote good public relations for the Club.
  • Professional Development: Attend relevant conferences, webinars, and trainings as assigned.

Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
  • Experience: One year of experience in early childhood education, highly preferred.
  • Credentials: DCF 45 Hour Child Care credential, highly preferred; ability to complete within 90 days of employment if not already credentialed.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation and ability to travel to our preschools throughout Spring Hill and Brooksville if needed.
  • Background Check: Ability to pass a Level II background check and pre-employment drug testing.
