Position Summary:
The Project Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects. Reporting directly to the Project Manager, this position requires collaboration with the operations team and interaction with various stakeholders, maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily reporting and monitor project activities to ensure adherence to production schedules.
  • Manage essential construction documentation, including submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
  • Facilitate and lead meetings to discuss project progress and address any issues.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and vendors through effective communication.
  • Prepare and submit monthly pay requests for Project Manager approval.
  • Track material usage and manage procurement processes, including obtaining quotes and submitting purchase orders.
  • Assist in maintaining project schedules and document control on-site.
  • Review project plans and drawings to ensure compliance with specifications.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within heavy civil projects.
  • Familiarity with Primavera CPM scheduling and CAD software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with USACE projects is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
  • Regular attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
