About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Garage Mechanic 1st Shift to join our team at Mauser Packaging Solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and light duty vehicles, to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Conduct quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on all fleet vehicles, including oil changes, equipment inspections, and electrical diagnostics.
  • Create and complete work order entries, maintaining accurate records of vehicle maintenance and repairs.
  • Utilize our maintenance software program to create and complete work orders, ensuring efficient and effective maintenance operations.
  • Lead and/or assist with the physical parts purchasing, inventory, receiving, and proper charge out of parts to work orders.
  • Perform general cleaning and repair duties, as well as oversee other shop personnel.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 2 years of school and 2 years of experience or 4 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training.
  • ASE certification required.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds or more.
  • Ability to work in inclement weather conditions outside.
  • CDL Class A preferred.
  • 609 HVAC Certification.
  • Brake Inspector Certification, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • Working knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software for OEMs and component manufacturers.
  • Technician must own and provide all tools necessary to perform maintenance.
  • Current valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
