Job Summary

The Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration is seeking a highly skilled Podiatrist to serve as the Neurology Section Chief. This is a unique opportunity to lead a team of healthcare professionals and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive patient care, including consultative inpatient and outpatient Neurology patient care and management.
  • Lead the Neurology Section, overseeing administrative, educational, and research activities.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve patient outcomes, staff productivity, and section operations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of care and services.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest medical knowledge and best practices in podiatry and neurology.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from an accredited school.
  • Current licensure to practice podiatry in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia.
  • Completion of residency training or its equivalent in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification.
  • Board certification in Neurology is preferred.
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in podiatry, with at least three years of non-academic supervisory experience and three years of administrative experience.
