Job Summary

As a Flight Paramedic with Christus Health, you will play a critical role in extending the healing ministry of Jesus Christ by providing exceptional care to critically ill and injured patients in the air medical environment. This challenging and rewarding position requires a high degree of independence, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively in unpredictable situations.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced life support care to patients in the air medical environment
  • Collaborate with Flight Nurses and Pilots to coordinate transport operations and clinical care
  • Develop and implement subject matter management skills to support Flight For Life operations
  • Interact with a wide range of healthcare and public safety professionals in stressful situations
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain certification and stay up-to-date with industry advancements
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of experience working in a moderate to high-volume ALS setting
  • Current paramedic certification by the State of Texas
  • National Registry Paramedic certification strongly preferred
  • BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Certification in a transport-specific critical care board certification (C-NPT, FP-C, or CCP-C) strongly preferred
  • Previous flight or critical care transport experience highly preferred
