Job Overview:

PRIMARY OBJECTIVES:

Under guidance, verify, reassess, review, update, and oversee family records to ensure the eligibility of all program participants. This role necessitates a comprehensive understanding of CDE Funding Terms and Conditions and the capability to implement Title 5 and relevant regulations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Exhibit knowledge of local, state, and federal government regulations.
  2. Accurate input of family data.
  3. Exceptional customer service abilities with a strong aptitude for engaging with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
  4. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, maintain attention to detail, meet deadlines, and operate effectively under pressure.
  5. Maintain precise client records and organized documentation, with a strong capability to record actions/statements clearly and objectively.
  6. Collaborate effectively with colleagues, clients, childcare providers, and community organizations.
  7. Willingness to work extended hours and participate in meetings with little notice.
  8. Focus on client service needs, complete intake documentation, establish case files, and maintain these files along with case/contact notes.

  10. Serve as a point of contact for client inquiries and concerns; handle incoming calls for information and assess eligibility for services.
  11. Act as a liaison for clients, childcare providers, and other social service organizations.
  12. Conduct follow-ups on missed appointments.
  13. Comfortable discussing program policies and procedures with clients and care providers.
  14. Responsible for the initial and ongoing certification of families and support in program operations.
  15. Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to diversity.
  16. Create and manage a computer database for assigned families.
  17. Provide specialized information about the program to parents, childcare providers, and the community.
  18. Deliver the highest quality of service to clients, childcare providers, and the community.
  19. Manage a caseload of over 250 clients.
  20. Complete all processing of client files within 30 days or sooner from the date the client information is received.
  21. Perform any additional duties as assigned by Administrative Staff.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  1. Consistent and regular attendance.
  2. Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  3. Proficient typing skills and familiarity with standard office equipment.
  4. Basic alphabetizing, reading, and computer skills necessary to perform essential job functions.
  5. Strong time management and organizational skills.
  6. Physical capability to frequently move and stack supplies.
  7. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work independently, under supervision, and as part of a team.
  8. A courteous and approachable demeanor, with a genuine concern for the families served.
  9. Fluency in English with the ability to communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues.
  10. Proficient in Microsoft Word.
  11. A minimum of two years of experience with state-subsidized programs or relevant coursework in the social services field.
