Job Summary

Quality Family Services is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker to provide essential social work services for our Foster Family Agency. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting Resource Families in maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for children in care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the placement of children in approved homes, ensuring a smooth transition for all parties involved.
  • Develop, review, and update quarterly reports for each child on your caseload, providing valuable insights into their progress and well-being.
  • Meet with each foster child and Resource Family weekly, fostering strong relationships and providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist children and parents with problems concerning relationships or other aspects of social and emotional functioning, promoting healthy development and well-being.
  • Develop and update weekly progress notes and case records, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation of each child's journey.
  • Provide pertinent information to contracting counties, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure that Resource Families have the necessary support to help children succeed, providing guidance and resources as needed.
  • Supervise the placement of children, including direct contact with the child and certified parent(s), ensuring a safe and nurturing environment.
  • Facilitate reunification plans and efforts whenever possible, working towards the best interests of each child.
Requirements
  • A Master's degree from an accredited or state-approved graduate school in social work or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment.
  • Proficiency in written and oral communication, with the ability to create clear and concise reports and documentation.
