Lead Pediatric Nursing Supervisor: NICU

As a highly skilled Lead Pediatric Nursing Supervisor, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Akron Children's Hospital. This full-time position offers a competitive salary of $85,000 to $110,000 per year, depending on experience.
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced nursing professional to join our team as a Lead Pediatric Nursing Supervisor. In this role, you will be responsible for supervising and mentoring a team of nurses, ensuring that high-quality patient care is delivered in accordance with hospital policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as a clinical leader and mentor to nursing staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellence in patient care.
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of nursing staff, including assigning tasks and evaluating performance.
- Develop and implement nursing care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Demonstrate a strong background in pediatric nursing, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), with a Master's degree (MSN) preferred.
- Hold current RN licensure and BLS certification, with ACLS and PALS certifications required within 6 months.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
