Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to join our team in Surgical Services. This part-time position will be responsible for advancing the profession of nursing by contributing to the professional development of others, supporting collaborative relationships, and promoting life-long learning.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct needs assessments to identify knowledge, skills, and practice gaps among staff.
- Design and implement educational programs to address identified gaps.
- Collaborate with leadership to influence inter-professional practice and learning environments.
- Analyze data to inform decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
- Promote research-based practices and evidence-based guidelines to advance NPD and clinical practice.
- Serve as a resource for staff on topics related to professional development and continuing education.
- Maintain current knowledge and competencies in NPD practice and pediatrics.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Nursing or BSN with plans to attain Master's degree within three years.
- Current RN licensure and BLS certification required.
- Nursing Professional Development certification preferred.
- 5-7 years of relevant experience in pediatrics and/or NPD.
- Experience with project management and data analysis a plus.
Compensation and Benefits:
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $85,000 per year, based on industry standards and local market conditions. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and retirement plans.
