As a Registered Nurse in our Critical Care Nurse Residency Program, you will embark on an exhilarating journey of growth and development at Rapides Regional Medical Center, a leading healthcare provider in Alexandria, Louisiana. Our comprehensive program is designed to equip you with the tools, knowledge, and skills necessary to succeed in today's fast-paced hospital environment.

Compensation: This role offers an estimated annual salary of $65,000 - $80,000, depending on experience and qualifications. Additionally, we offer a sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 for ICU RN new graduates, relocation assistance of up to $3,000 (eligibility terms apply), and a range of benefits to support your health, well-being, and career development.

About the Role

As a member of our nursing team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in accordance with established nursing models, such as Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage. You will work collaboratively with medical providers and other members of the care team to provide individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
  • Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by medical providers, documenting administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Administer prescribed medications, monitor patient response, and notify providers as needed.
  • Provide exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests, anticipating needs, and resolving them proactively.
Qualifications and Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of employment.
  • An Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification within one year of employment.
  • An Associate or Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
  • A Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
  • No previous experience is required, but some travel may be needed for training.
