Responsibilities: As a Senior Electronics Technician for this essential program, candidates will be tasked with a range of detailed technical functions necessary for the upkeep and repair of security systems and equipment. This role offers a flexible schedule, allowing for up to 39 hours of work per week. Candidates must be prepared to travel as required, with travel expected frequently.

The Electronics Technicians will engage in diagnosing issues, replacing components, and wiring circuits; repairing electronic devices; and conducting test measurements using standard instruments such as digital multi-meters, signal generators, semiconductor testers, curve tracers, and oscilloscopes.

The role necessitates a solid understanding of both basic and advanced electrical and electronic principles as they relate to security systems and equipment utilized in various facilities.

Candidates should possess the ability to:

Comprehend and adhere to technical documentation such as circuit diagrams and layouts when available. Identify, repair, or replace equipment as necessary. Troubleshoot intricate security systems, including hardware and software components. Independently evaluate and resolve issues related to security systems. Configure computers, communication devices, and peripheral equipment, providing in-depth technical support to fellow technicians when required for corrective maintenance and restoration efforts.

Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 8 years of experience in the installation or maintenance of Electronic Security Systems (ESS). Specific expertise with Johnson Controls P2000, Lenel OnGuard, Pelco, Genetec, or Milestone is highly preferred.

Contractual Requirements:

Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in the installation or maintenance of ESS equipment, including video surveillance systems, access control systems, intercoms, intrusion detection systems, and security gates. Experience with Johnson Controls P2000, Lenel OnGuard, Pelco, Genetec, or Milestone is preferred. Successful completion of an associate's degree in a technical field or, in lieu of formal education, at least 12 years of relevant experience. Familiarity with OSHA general safety standards and the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Candidates must be able to obtain a moderate suitability investigation prior to commencing work. This position requires 100% travel within the larger metropolitan area and occasional travel to neighboring states (up to 20%).

This is a Service Contract Act (SCA) position.
