  • Advocate for the full participation of individuals with disabilities in society, emphasizing independent living and employment opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of psychosocial assessments, job placement strategies, and vocational rehabilitation counseling.
  • Familiarity with medical and psychiatric conditions as they relate to rehabilitation.
  • Proficient in counseling theories, techniques, and their practical applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt and balance strict adherence to rules with the application of policies to enhance engagement.
  • Minimum qualifications include:
    • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
    • At least one year of experience in rehabilitation counseling, career counseling, or related human services.
  • Fully qualified candidates will possess:
    • A Master's degree in rehabilitation counseling.
    • Two years of supervisory experience in directing counseling activities.
    • Certification from the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification (CRCC) is highly preferred.
  • Other combinations of relevant education and experience may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
