Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering, Civil Engineering with a Structural focus, or a related discipline. A Master's degree in Structural Engineering or a collaborative degree is preferred.
  • Experience:
  • A minimum of six years in structural engineering, emphasizing high-level project review and approval.
  • Expertise in the design and detailing of various construction materials, including steel, cold-formed metal framing, conventional and post-tensioned concrete, concrete masonry, and both conventional and engineered wood.
  • Experience in the design and analysis of building structures.
  • Background in residential, commercial, higher education (institutional), and vertical public infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in developing comprehensive construction documents.
  • Proven track record as the primary structural collaborator with architects, contractors, and the design team.
  • Licensure: Professional Engineer (PE) license is mandatory.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with structural analysis and design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, RAM Structural System, Tekla Structures, or RISA experience is advantageous).
  • Knowledge Base: Extensive understanding of building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Leadership Abilities: Demonstrated capability to lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers.
