Key Responsibilities- Coordinate surgical schedules, ensuring optimal utilization of operating room time and resources.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding pre-operative instructions, including medication management, fasting guidelines, and procedural details.
- Obtain necessary pre-operative clearances and ensure all required paperwork and consents are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
- Facilitate communication between patients, surgeons, and other healthcare team members to address questions, concerns, and special needs.
- Adhere to facility policies and protocols, maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in patient care.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a surgery coordinator, preferably in plastic or reconstructive surgery.
- Minimum associate's degree in a medical field of study.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, electronic health records (EHR), and Microsoft Office applications.
