Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Ambulatory Services Representative to join our team at Texas Children's Hospital. As a key member of our patient access team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, providers, and staff accessing our virtual and non-virtual ambulatory clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients, providers, and staff
  • Orient patients to the virtual visit process and ensure they have all necessary technology set up
  • Expedite outpatient check-in and check-out processes by reviewing appointment status and verifying benefits
  • Collect pre-visit payments and communicate with clinic liaison regarding factors impacting patient visit and clinic flow
  • Secure financial integrity of patient's account by verifying benefits and obtaining referrals, authorizations, and pre-certifications
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2 years' experience in customer service or 2 years' clerical, medical office, or business experience preferably in a healthcare environment
