Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist to contribute to our dynamic healthcare environment. As a vital member of our surgical team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring optimal patient care and safety during surgical procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate proficiency in surgical techniques and maintain a sterile environment.
- Assist in the preparation and organization of surgical instruments and supplies.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Participate in infection control practices to minimize risks during procedures.
- Support the RN circulator in various perioperative duties.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
- Completion of an accredited surgical technology program or military training in surgical technology is necessary.
Experience:
- Preferred: At least one year of current operating room experience.
- Preferred: Experience in Labor and Delivery settings.
Licenses and Certifications:
- CST – Certified Surgical Technologist certification is required upon hire.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification must be obtained prior to providing independent patient care.
