The Virginia Hospital Center is seeking a skilled and compassionate Hospitalist Physician to join our team. As a Hospitalist Physician, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to our patients, working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care transitions, and contributing to the development and implementation of hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient outcomes and satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
* Provide direct patient care to patients admitted to the hospital, including ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and developing and implementing treatment plans.
* Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including nurses, therapists, and specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
* Participate in hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient outcomes, satisfaction, and safety, including quality improvement projects and patient safety initiatives.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient care and satisfaction.
Requirements:
* Doctorate from an accredited medical school is required.
* One year of medical/surgical experience is required.
* Licensed to practice medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required.
