FULL-TIME AREA SUPERVISOR FOR A COMMERCIAL JANITORIAL FIRM

Compensation includes salary, vehicle expenses, health benefits, paid time off, and holidays.

This role demands strong leadership, effective planning, organizational skills, and the capability to develop and implement programs, systems, and policies. The supervisor will also be responsible for delegating tasks to cleaning teams.

  • Conduct customer visits as necessary, especially in response to complaints or at the request of management.
  • Oversee operations across various accounts within the company.
  • Collaborate with the operations manager to address complaints.
  • Receive and act on reports, inspections, and work orders from management, adjusting to schedules and emerging issues.
  • Facilitate daily meetings with the operations manager and other supervisors.
  • Perform daily site visits to address problem areas and inspect accounts, including routine walkthroughs with clients.
  • Communicate with the office from each location to report any issues.
  • Conduct follow-up calls to customers to ensure satisfaction.
  • Utilize a time management system to organize appointments and commitments for oneself and other supervisors.
  • Address deficiencies with crews on the same day they are identified.
  • Continuously enhance work quality and implement necessary quality control measures.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role within the cleaning industry.
  • Preferred knowledge or experience in janitorial and maintenance services.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, particularly 2nd shift.
  • Willingness to assist cleaning crews as needed.
  • Experience with high-volume commercial cleaning for retail chains is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with proper floor care techniques.
  • Reliable transportation for travel to multiple account locations.
  • Strong customer service, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures effectively.
  • Capability to manage multiple responsibilities successfully.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Bilingual candidates (English/Spanish) are preferred.
  • Punctuality in adhering to work schedules and submitting reports is essential.
  • Ability to make prompt decisions and resolve issues with cleaning crews.
