Patient Access Coordinator

About the Role:
As a Pharmacy Support Specialist at Ascension, you will be responsible for performing a variety of administrative tasks to support our pharmacy operations. This includes communicating with patients, scheduling appointments, and gathering necessary information for patient records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond to patient inquiries and provide clear, concise information regarding prescriptions.
- Utilize electronic medical records systems to manage patient data and update records as necessary.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient information, including demographics, insurance details, and medical history.
- Coordinate with pharmacy staff to ensure timely processing of prescriptions and other pharmaceutical needs.
- Develop and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity within the pharmacy department.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 1 year of experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting preferred.
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills essential.
Salary Range:
$45,000 - $60,000 per year
