About Rocky Mountain Prep

Rocky Mountain Prep is an expanding network of forward-thinking public charter schools, dedicated to serving students from pre-kindergarten through 12th Grade in the Greater Denver Area. Since our inception in 2012, we have grown from 130 students to over 1,800 scholars across four schools, consistently outperforming local districts academically. As we continue to expand, we aim to serve over 5,000 students across 12 schools.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals who are mission-driven, reflective about their teaching practices, data-savvy, and focused on achieving results.

Throughout the academic year, Rocky Mountain Prep is pursuing five key objectives:

  1. 85% Staff Retention
  2. 100% of campuses achieving sustainability goals & ECE-2nd grade students demonstrating an average growth of 1.25 years in math and reading
  3. 100% of seniors gaining college acceptance
  4. 40% of 3rd-8th grade students reaching their Accelerated Reader millionaire milestone
  5. Meeting network enrollment targets

Every team member contributes to these objectives. School-based staff will focus on 2 or 3 metrics aligned with their roles and the Big 5 goals, which may vary by position.

  • Regularly collect, input, and analyze academic data to provide targeted instruction and interventions that foster a culture of learning.
  • Establish a robust classroom environment where scholars can learn, grow, and thrive through consistent routines, structures, and both proactive and restorative practices.
  • Foster a supportive and collaborative work atmosphere focused on student success.
  • Engage in regular communication and collaboration with colleagues, parents, and administrators.
  • Participate in professional development sessions designed to provide constructive feedback and coaching to enhance instructional practices.
  • Thoroughly prepare and internalize lessons to optimize class time and student learning.
  • Exemplify our PEAK values of Perseverance, Excellence, Adventure, and Kindness.
  • Exhibit a mindset that is hungry, humble, smart, and results-oriented, demonstrating a commitment to achieving our primary goals.
  • Assist with arrival and dismissal duties, along with other community responsibilities.
  • Collaborate with Special Education teachers and support staff to ensure all students receive appropriate grade-level content and academic assistance.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in any field.
  • Completion of CDE READ Act training and/or CDE Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) 45 contact hours.
  • Successful completion of a background check.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.

Must possess one or more of the following:

  • Current Colorado teaching license with relevant grade/content endorsement (K-12; 6-8).
  • OR
  • An official transcript demonstrating a degree (graduate or undergraduate) in secondary education and/or relevant content area.

Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of two years of lead teaching experience, defined as the primary teacher responsible for all academic content in the classroom.
  • Experience with progress monitoring, data collection, and analysis.
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive instruction and critical pedagogical frameworks.
  • Proven success in working with scholars from historically marginalized communities.
Compensation and Benefits
This is a full-time position eligible for benefits, with a salary range of $60,000 to $94,800 based on experience and educational qualifications.
