Role Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of a registered nurse or provider, and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures, the LPN delivers nursing care to patients. This includes implementing nursing care protocols, assessing patient progress, and assisting in the adjustment of care plans as needed. Additionally, the LPN provides education to patients and their families. While specific duties may vary based on the clinical setting, typical responsibilities include:
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Monitoring patient vital signs and reporting changes
- Documenting patient care and progress in medical records
- Collaborating with healthcare team members to optimize patient outcomes

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Successful completion of a competency-based orientation program
- Valid LPN license in the State of Michigan required upon hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from AHA or ARC within 90 days
Work Environment
This position is full-time with variable shifts, requiring availability from early morning to evening hours, Monday through Friday.
