Description

Treatment Wound Care Nurse Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled Treatment Wound Care Nurse to join our facility's compassionate care-giving team. The Treatment Wound Care Nurse will be responsible for assessing and following up on each resident's need for and result of treatments provided in the facility or a designated area. The Treatment Wound Care Nurse will communicate with other Licensed Staff to ensure residents do not decrease their functional abilities, such as skin breakdown, contractures, weight loss, skin tears, and so forth.

The Treatment Wound Care Nurse will assist the facility in providing education, assessment, and appropriate infection control programs. They will work with the facility as a team member to ensure treatments are coordinated with other events of the day. The Treatment Wound Care Nurse will also assist the Nursing Department in ensuring residents' care plans are followed and document records as per policy and procedures.

We are searching for a dedicated, compassionate, and energetic individual to be a vital link between our patients and the nurses and other facility staff.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or relevant qualification.
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university, or be a graduate of an approved LVN/RN program.
  • Possession of a current valid Texas driver's license or regular means of transportation to and from work.
  • One (1) year of experience as a nurse in a skilled rehabilitation, skilled nursing, or Long-Term Care (LTC) environment preferred.
  • Experience with electronic medical records preferred.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:

  • Must possess a current and active license to practice as an RN or LVN in this state.
  • CPR certification required.
