Senior Die Engineer

The Press Sr. Die Engineer is a critical member of our team, responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our press lines. This includes troubleshooting, maintaining production, and implementing engineering and process changes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in die design and construction, with experience in Class A stamping and large sheet metal dies.
Your Responsibilities- Ensure safe and healthy work conditions are maintained and improved.
- Operate and maintain all machinery and equipment in the assigned area.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of process flow, equipment, technical specifications, and production volume.
- Lead tool makers in quality and drawability improvement tryouts to enhance Press shop KPIs.
- Verify work orders for FTC and Tool Room feedback.
- Schedule and assign associates to meet customer demand.
- Coordinate all in-house tooling and new tooling equipment plant-wide.
- Resolve interim and long-term problems involving press lines, dies, transfer presses, and automation.
- Collaborate with customers on product improvements and concerns.
- 2-year technical degree in Machine Tool Technology or related field.
- Completed Apprenticeship in sheet metal tool and die stamping.
- 5 years of related work experience in a Class A metal stamping manufacturing environment.
- Journeyman Tool & Die Maker with 5 years of Class A experience.
- New tool construction and production tooling troubleshooting expertise.
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Pay range: $90,000 - $115,000 annual salary.
