  • Be knowledgeable about all menu items, their ingredients, and preparation methods, able to answer guest questions confidently and concisely.
  • Use suggestive selling and upselling techniques to increase the check average and enhance the guest experience.
  • Take guest orders correctly, read them back to ensure accuracy, and ring orders into the system efficiently.
  • Check food presentation before serving, ensuring hot food is hot and fresh, and cold food is cold.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction with food quality, addressing any concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Present checks correctly, free from errors, and in a timely manner, following all cash handling policies and procedures.
  • Follow all White Lodging policies and procedures, including work procedures and attendance policies.
  • Learn and maintain all information regarding the hotel, engaging in pre-shift meetings and staying up-to-date on hotel events and promotions.
  • Promote teamwork and a friendly, safe work environment, demonstrating a positive attitude and a willingness to help colleagues.
  • Other duties as assigned, including maintaining a thorough knowledge of bar products and operations.

Requirements:

  • Previous restaurant or bar experience preferred, but not essential.
  • Previous customer service role preferred, but not essential.
  • Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for long periods, working long hours when business needs require.
