Job Overview

As a key player in our organization, the Environmental Health & Safety Manager will report directly to the Global EHS Director, serving as a pivotal resource across the company. This role is essential for providing comprehensive support and guidance on a diverse range of EHS matters.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

  • Drive the execution of both short-term and long-term EHS objectives, ensuring alignment with corporate initiatives.
  • Possess specialized knowledge in various EHS domains, offering expert advice and support to global operations.
  • Contribute to the formulation and implementation of the Woodward EHS framework, ensuring standards and practices are effectively established.
  • Evaluate and enhance program effectiveness while regularly updating standard operating procedures for the management system.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of EHS regulations and trends, ensuring compliance at all operational levels.
  • Oversee the development and management of internal and external EHS compliance programs, including training initiatives.
  • Conduct periodic audits and inspections to ensure adherence to EHS regulations and standards.
  • Foster a culture of health, safety, and environmental awareness among all employees.
  • Provide EHS expertise and support to various internal stakeholders, ensuring that corporate and local objectives are met.
  • Engage in incident investigations and trend analysis, sharing insights for organizational improvement.
  • Design and implement EHS data collection systems for global analysis and best practice dissemination.
  • Manage remediation activities as necessary, including negotiations with regulatory bodies.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety, Health, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
  • A Master's degree or Certified Safety Professional designation is preferred.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS roles, with a focus on corporate leadership and tactical management.
  • Manufacturing experience is highly desirable.
  • Specialized knowledge in safety, health, industrial hygiene, and environmental sustainability.
  • The ability to travel domestically and internationally as required.
