About the Role

At Hackensack Meridian Health, we are committed to delivering exceptional patient care and advancing our mission to transform healthcare. As an ALS Instructor, you will play a critical role in our EMS training center, conducting training and education at the advanced and basic life support levels.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct training and education at the advanced and basic life support level in concert with the overall mission of the EMS training center.
  • Provide logistical support for on-site and off-site courses, ensuring seamless execution and high-quality delivery.
  • Support EMS training center leadership through clerical and operational functions, including teaching courses and maintaining certification requirements.
  • Maintain current paramedic certification or higher and ALS and BLS Instructor certifications, ensuring expertise and credibility in the field.
  • Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the EMS training center.
  • Adhere to HMH Organizational competencies and standards of behavior, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and integrity.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) experience in any capacity, demonstrating expertise and a strong understanding of the field.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), to effectively manage course materials and administrative tasks.
  • Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
    • Minimum of 1-year Instructor experience, with a proven track record of successful teaching and training.
    • Mobile Intensive Care Paramedic Certification or Mobile Intensive Care Nurse Certification or a higher-level medical license, ensuring current and relevant expertise.
    • AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification or BLS Instructor Trainer, demonstrating commitment to quality and excellence.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification or ACLS Instructor Certification, highlighting advanced knowledge and skills.
    • Pediatric Advanced Life Support Certification or PALS Instructor Certification, showcasing expertise in pediatric care.
    • Valid Driver's License from a USA state, ensuring reliable transportation and flexibility.
