Behavioral Health Therapist

At Child Focus, we are dedicated to improving the quality of life for children and families. As a Behavioral Health Therapist in our Wasserman Day Treatment program, you will play a critical role in supporting children with significant behavioral health needs.
Job OverviewThis position involves providing individual and family therapy, group treatment, crisis intervention, and collaborating with the treatment team to foster student success. You will also educate parents and may be on-call to assist clients and families during crisis situations outside of program hours.
The ideal candidate will have a Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy, and a license to practice in the state. Experience working with youth and in a day treatment setting is preferred.
Responsibilities- Provide individual and family therapy sessions to children and their families
- Lead group treatment sessions to support children in developing coping skills and social connections
- Develop and implement crisis intervention plans to ensure child safety and well-being
- Collaborate with the treatment team to develop and implement treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each child
- Educate parents on effective strategies for supporting their child's behavior and emotional well-being
This is a full-time position that requires flexibility and a willingness to work collaboratively as part of a treatment team. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with children, families, and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.

We estimate the annual salary for this position to be between $50,000 and $60,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
