We are seeking a passionate educator to join our team as a Bilingual Elementary Teacher Assistant. This role requires someone who is committed to providing high-quality instruction, partnering with families, and creating a culture of inclusion and respect.
Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate will be responsible for working with the lead teacher to plan and manage classroom activities, supporting the creation of engaging lessons, and assessing student progress regularly. They will also collaborate with other staff members, including special education service providers, ELL teachers, and assistant teachers or teaching fellows.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate effectively with diverse groups of colleagues, parents, and community members. They will also be committed to meeting the needs of a diverse student population and have a track record of being a team player and community-minded.

Professional DevelopmentWe offer ongoing professional development opportunities to support your growth and success in this role. You will participate in monthly Professional Learning Community meetings and contribute to PLC sessions by sharing data, ideas, and feedback. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to seek out additional opportunities for professional development that align with your interests and goals.
Qualifications and RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must have a AA, BA, or MA degree or a high school diploma/GED and pass the Praxis Parapro exam. You should also have prior work or volunteer experience with children or students with special needs and demonstrate strong skills in partnering with families.
Compensation and BenefitsThe salary range for this position is $32,000 - $52,000 per year, depending on your level of education, certification(s), and years of experience. You will also be eligible for benefits, including health insurance, disability insurance, and a retirement plan.
