Job Summary

As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) on our Vent Unit at Levindale Hebrew Geriatric Center and Hospital, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to our residents. Under the supervision of the Registered Nurse/Director of Nursing, you will utilize your nursing skills and knowledge to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and documenting patient information.
  • Assist with daily operations of the unit, including maintaining a clean and safe environment, and participating in quality improvement initiatives.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that meet the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.
  • Participate in leadership roles as needed, including mentoring new staff members and contributing to unit-based decision-making.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current LPN license in the state of Maryland.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
