The Accounting & Finance Department at RevZilla is composed of dynamic professionals who are encouraged to leverage their expertise and creativity. Key Responsibilities:
The Staff Accountant will be an integral part of the Accounting team, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Accounting. The primary responsibilities include:

  • Conducting monthly reconciliations and ensuring the accuracy of assigned general ledger accounts.
  • Managing tasks related to the upkeep of the general ledger, along with financial analysis and reporting, while assisting in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Applying financial principles to business analysis and planning to ensure robust controls are in place for achieving desired outcomes.
  • Utilizing innovative thinking to address complex accounting issues.
  • Contributing to special projects as they arise within the business.
  • Assisting with various aspects of our annual audit, including interim and year-end testing, as well as managing audit requests.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, reconciliation principles, and the interpretation of accounting guidelines.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas such as index-match, vlookups, and macros.
  • A proactive attitude with a passion for process improvement.
  • Self-motivation with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate across the organization.
  • An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.

Preferred Qualifications:
While not required, the following are advantageous:

  • CPA certification or candidacy.
  • Familiarity with JD Edwards and RetailPro.
  • Experience in retail, e-commerce, technology, or consumer products sectors.
