Department Overview

The Facilities team is dedicated to maintaining the environments where our employees thrive. They play a crucial role in ensuring seamless operations, from safeguarding our premises to facilitating successful events. The Facilities team represents the essential operational backbone of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

The Safety Officer will engage with personnel across all levels, collaborate within a team framework, and manage 50% of their duties remotely. Responsibilities include creating employee identification badges, overseeing security systems, and conducting thorough inspections of both internal and external property.

Primary Duties:

  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
  • Authorize and oversee the entry and exit of employees, guests, and other individuals to prevent theft and ensure the security of the facilities.
  • Issue security identification badges as required, controlling access for personnel, visitors, and contractors.
  • Maintain a detailed log of daily activities and any irregularities, including equipment damage, theft, unauthorized access, or unusual incidents.
  • Utilize computer systems to support security operations.
  • Respond to alarms and security incidents, taking appropriate action to resolve issues.
  • Contact emergency services when necessary, such as in cases of fire or unauthorized access.
  • Alert relevant personnel regarding rule violations or infractions.
  • Assess information from various sources to identify potential security concerns.

Work Schedule

This position operates on a first shift schedule from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Tuesday through Saturday. (Subject to change based on operational needs)

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in military police, civilian law enforcement, or corporate security roles.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Access, and Excel, along with general office skills.
  • Experience with access control systems, CCTV, and security sensors.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Specialized training or education in security practices.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts as required.

Working Conditions

  • May require occasional night and weekend shifts.
  • Exposure to outdoor weather conditions may be necessary.
  • Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs may be required.
  • Potential for short notice or no notice overtime work schedules.

Compensation

Hourly wage ranges from $15.91 to $22.74, based on experience and qualifications.
