Job Description
As a Charge Nurse RN, you will be responsible for providing safe, age-appropriate patient care and functioning as an advisor, resource, and leader for other members of the patient care team.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college)
- Requires knowledge of a specialized field
- 2 or more years of experience in clinical specialty
- Nursing Certification of specialty area within 3-5 years of hire
- 1-3 years of experience
- Maryland Registered Nurse License
- American Heart Association BLS Certification

UNIT SUMMARY
The Stroke Medical Unit is a 40-bed unit that specializes in the care of geriatric patients and offers an interdisciplinary approach to respiratory care.
The Stroke Medical Unit is a designated stroke unit. Staff members must utilize strong organizational and leadership skills to assess patient status, implement clinical nursing interventions to modify symptoms, and develop and implement patient care plans to enhance and improve outcomes.
Special training on how to care for patients on vents and how to respond to different alarms on the unit is required.
JOB SUMMARY
Provides safe, age-appropriate patient care, and functions as advisor, resource, and leader for other members of the patient care team.
REQUIREMENTS
