Job Summary

Aequor Technologies is seeking a skilled Nurse Care Specialist to join our team. As a critical care professional, you will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Stepdown Unit. Your expertise will be invaluable in monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications, and performing complex nursing procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized care to patients, focusing on those who are critically ill but stable enough to leave the intensive care unit.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall condition, promptly identifying and addressing any changes in status.
  • Administer medications, including IV drips and infusions, as prescribed by physicians, and perform complex nursing procedures.
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Educate patients and their families about their conditions, treatments, and discharge planning, promoting understanding and compliance.

Requirements
  • Current RN state license in good standing.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), Stepdown Unit, or related critical care nursing field.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required.
  • Strong knowledge of critical care nursing practices, telemetry monitoring, and cardiac care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in high-stress, fast-paced environments.
