Job Summary

As an Occupational Therapist, you will assess clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments to help them develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform tasks in their daily lives. You will evaluate physical, cognitive, developmental, and psychosocial abilities and develop realistic therapy goals and administer appropriate occupational therapy programs.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate clients/patients/residents and design occupational therapy treatments
  • Help clients/patients/residents develop, maintain, and recover their ability to perform tasks in their daily lives
  • Conduct evaluations and provide interventions for clients/patients/residents with functional, cognitive, or behavioral impairments
  • Document client's/patient's/resident's information for evaluation and establish therapeutic plans
  • Provide education to clients/patients/residents to enhance understanding and improve functional outcomes

Requirements

  • Appropriate education level required in accordance with state licensure
  • Licensed in the state(s) of practice as Occupational Therapist
  • Certified through the National Board of Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT) when working at a Sanford Health Facility
