Job Summary:

Tumwater School District is seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Therapist to join our team. As a Speech Language Therapist, you will be responsible for providing speech, language, and hearing services to students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide screening and diagnostic services in the areas of articulation, language, fluency, and voice.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address students' communication needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and other professionals to provide consultative services and support.
  • Supervise and train educational assistants to support students with communication disorders.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices and research in speech-language pathology.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in speech pathology and audiology required.
  • Valid Educational Staff Associate Certificate at the initial level or able to meet qualifications.
  • Required minimum clinical hours, 200.
  • Criminal justice fingerprint clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with students with diverse communication needs.
  • Training in speech and language management, diagnosis, stuttering, voice management, and hearing impaired and deaf students.
  • Strong skills and background in instructional methods and strategies, including extensive training in Speech/Language Pathology.
