Radiology Technologist Clinic Specialist

Christus Health is seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist Clinic Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will be responsible for operating radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for clinical diagnostic purposes.
Key Responsibilities- Operate radiologic equipment to produce images of the body for diagnostic purposes.
- Position radiologic equipment and adjust controls to set exposure factors according to specification of examination.
- Follow established radiologic requirements and regulations to ensure patient care and safety.
- Maintain accurate radiology records as directed and logs all procedures completed.
- Process routine paperwork and files reports.
- Position patients and adjusts equipment for taking radiographic images following established procedures.
- Instruct patients regarding procedures.
- Observe patient's vital signs during examination.
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating radiologic equipment.
- Maintain examination rooms. Stock necessary medical and radiologic supplies.
- Clean and make minor adjustments to radiologic equipment. Schedule routine maintenance.
- Develop and monitor an ongoing Quality Improvement program with targeted Quality Improvement aspects of care to be reported on a routine basis.
- Ensure department compliance with OSHA.
- Participate in training employees in equipment operation, patient movement, and quality assurance.
- Attend required meetings and participate in committees as requested.
- Enhance professional growth through education programs, conferences, and workshops.
- Follow the CHRISTUS Physician Group guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain strict confidentiality.
- Use oral and written communication skills to effectively convey ideas in a clear, positive manner that is consistent with the CHRISTUS Mission.
- Maintain established CHRISTUS Physician Group policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control.
- Implement job responsibilities in a manner that is consistent with the CHRISTUS Mission and Code of Ethics and supportive of CHRISTUS Physician Group's cultural diversity objectives.
- Support and adhere to CPG Service Guarantee.
- Perform other related work as required.
- Graduate of AMA approved School of Radiological Sciences or other accepted and approved equivalent required.
- One year of experience as a radiologic technologist preferred.
- Current state licensure and certification (ARRT) with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required.
- Current BLS (American Heart Association) required.
Part-time position with a TBD work schedule.
